DW v Truck

The claimant, aged 60 years and an existing below left knee amputee, was mowed down by a reversing waste truck. The vehicle pulled him under the wheels of a truck, trapping and crushing both legs. Following attempts by the treating surgeons to keep the remaining leg, he required a further below knee amputation to the right leg. The claimant, now being as a bi-lateral amputee, required extensive rehabilitation which was funded under the code at Steps Rehabilitation in Sheffield. A settlement of £1 million was secured before legal proceedings were issued.

‘Alan’ – Accident at a pedestrian crossing

In this case, our client, who was a child, was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing, close to a supermarket, when the Defendant collided with our client resulting in them sustaining life changing injuries including a traumatic brain injury, multiple internal injuries and fractures.

Pedestrian hit by car

Mr P – Pedestrian

Mr P was a pedestrian struck by a car as he crossed the road. He suffered fractures of his arm and hip. Orthopaedic evidence was obtained and Hayley swiftly recovered £50,000 in compensation.
