AA vs ANON

The claimant was riding his motorcycle when the defendant (travelling in opposite direction) turned across his path, resulting in a collision. The claimant sustained multiple serious orthopaedic injuries including a fracture to his left femur and left hip and fractures to his left shoulder and wrist. A settlement of £200k was achieved.

RC

Acted for a young man who sustained a complex degloving injury with associated vascular injury and orthopaedic complications following a motorbike accident. Liability remained disputed throughout, the case was settled at JSM with a 6-figure settlement in favour of the Claimant.

SCV v Postoliuk

Acting for a man who sustained a severe traumatic brain injury with a complicated a severe psychiatric sequalae as well as multiple orthopaedic injuries. Achieved a settlement of £1.3million.

Acting on behalf of a client who had suffered brachial plexus and life-changing orthopaedic injuries, securing a settlement of £1,297,863.36.

RB

A case brought by a male motorcyclist following an RTA in which he sustained life changing orthopaedic injuries and a traumatic brain injury. The injuries mean he is unlikely to walk again; and requires new adapted accommodation and support with all aspects of his life. A £3.75m settlement was recovered.

The client was involved in a motorcycle accident. He sustained serious orthopaedic injuries to his upper and lower limbs, all of which he suffered complications with and had repeated surgeries that left him unable to work, in constant daily pain. He couldn’t leave his home; he struggled with all aspects of his life and could no longer partake in any extreme sports that he had previously loved. Eventually, the complicated recovery of his lower limbs led to a hip replacement at the fairly young age of 44. He also struggled psychologically due to the accident and consequences, but despite this was always positive. Liability was resolved with two thirds in the client's favour, net settlement in accordance with the Liability split was £325,000. The money has enabled our client to pursue other avenues of work and turn his life around.

This was a professional negligence case which arose from a road traffic accident. Client was a passenger in a car in which the driver drove under the influence of alcohol, and sadly passed away following the accident. Our client was left with multiple orthopaedic injuries and psychological trauma, but unfortunately due to professional negligence, the court proceedings that had been issued in the case had to be discontinued. The firm took over the case and were able to recover the damages the Claimant would have been entitled to, had the professional negligence not taken place.

Acting for a cyclist who suffered fractured knee and psychological injuries, affecting their return to the pre accident employment. Achieved a settlement for over £2 million.

C v E 2021

Acting for motorcyclist who was knocked off his motorbike, resulting in significant lower limb damage resulting in below knee amputation. Achieved settlement for over £3 million.
