The client was involved in a motorcycle accident. He sustained serious orthopaedic injuries to his upper and lower limbs, all of which he suffered complications with and had repeated surgeries that left him unable to work, in constant daily pain. He couldn’t leave his home; he struggled with all aspects of his life and could no longer partake in any extreme sports that he had previously loved. Eventually, the complicated recovery of his lower limbs led to a hip replacement at the fairly young age of 44. He also struggled psychologically due to the accident and consequences, but despite this was always positive. Liability was resolved with two thirds in the client’s favour, net settlement in accordance with the Liability split was £325,000. The money has enabled our client to pursue other avenues of work and turn his life around.
