We are delighted to have been re-awarded our Lexcel accreditation for 2021 in recognition of our practice quality with respect to client care, compliance, and practice management.

Lexcel is an independent assessment body owned and managed by the Law Society of England and Wales which is now recognised as one of the two practice quality marks across the nations. To achieve this award, we were thoroughly assessed in relation to the following criteria:

  • client care;
  • risk management;
  • people management;
  • structure and strategy;
  • financial management;
  • information management;
  • file and case management.

Overall practice management was highlighted as a one of our strengths with the assessor stating:

"Serious Law has an effective management structure that is based on clear leadership from the managing partner and other partners, good communications and team working. Senior management have an open and approachable management style, and lead by example."

Attention was also drawn to the efficient way that our excellent team adjusted to the challenges brought about by Covid 19 and the related impact on how our team operate and continue to maintain such a high standard of client care. The assessor stated:

"Homeworking was efficiently introduced, systems are working well, and people have worked throughout to meet client needs. Whilst working remotely people were kept in touch by email and regular telephone calls, ensuring not only that staff were kept up to date but also checking that everyone was managing as well as possible with home working arrangements."

This is testament to the hard work that our entire team continue to put in to maintain such high standards.
