Case studies:

ANON:

A 35  yr old male was left with a brain injury in  a case where liability was complicated and likely involved contributory negligence. The client had visa issues and was married with a 4 year old and a new baby at the time, neither partner was working and were not on any benefits at the time.

Julie supported the client by:

  • Supporting the wife with telephone calls and helping to get food parcels arranged for the family.
  • Got Social Services to refer the client for a ‘Social Prescriber’ appointment which resulted in him getting free gym membership which helped him both mentally and physically.

ANON:

A lady in her mid-thirties was involved in an accident at work which left her with anxiety and some pain in her foot.

  • At the time she was referred to our rehabilitation team she as still working. Julie advised her she should not be.

Julie supported the client by:

  • Advising her to seek assistance from GP and ask for anti-anxiety medication and to be signed off work.
  • Liaising with her employer to fund counselling and private physio for her.

The clients condition has improved and has thanks Julie for her support.
