Jessica is a Solicitor in our serious injury team, with over 12 years’ experience in personal injury – including secondments in medical negligence and Court of Protection.

She typically handles cases that are likely to be valued over £100,000 for clients with serious and life-changing injuries.

Jessica is passionate about representing her clients, whether that be vulnerable road users – such as cyclists and motorcyclists – minors, or those individuals that lack capacity. In terms of the legal process of her claims, Jessica particularly enjoys and has great strengths in the litigation and negotiation stages. To Jessica, it is important that she works closely with her clients and their case representatives, to ensure they access justice and obtain fair settlements.  At the crux of it, Jessica loves what she does and enjoys making a difference to people’s lives. This doesn’t just mean at settlement, but also in supporting clients through possibly the toughest time of their lives and assisting wherever possible with rehabilitation. She finds great reward in seeing a client in a more comfortable, happier position than when they first come to us for legal representation. One thing that Jessica takes the most pride in, is not the big ‘wins’, but the small every-day things; such as having meaningful conversations with her clients. When a client tells Jessica they have felt comfortable discussing personal things with her, it makes her feel very privileged to be able to support them on their journey.

ANON

The claimant broke several vertebrae in his back in a motorcycle accident, and by all accounts the initial hospital records suggested he would have a difficult recovery. Fortunately, there was no spinal cord injury, and the claimant was able to get back to work before too long. Despite this, we continued to pursue compensation for his injury and loss of earnings. At the time of the accident, he was very recently separated from his partner and sleeping on a friend’s couch - they had also been unable to come to any sort of custody agreement. The cases settled for over £100,000 and the difference this made to the client’s life was immeasurable – he was able to purchase his own home where his children would be able to come and stay with him.
