Serious Injury Law has launched an in-house early rehabilitation and support service to boost the recovery and quality of life for seriously injured clients.
With a focus on early intervention, the new service will give clients faster and easier access to the specialist treatment and care they need to move forward with their lives after a life changing injury.
“Early intervention can make a real difference to the speed and extent of recovery,” says Caroline Morris, Managing Director of Serious Injury Law. “By offering this service from the outset, we will help our clients regain their independence and overall wellbeing much quicker.
“The good news is that this service will greatly increase their chances of becoming productive members of society again, more quickly, and at less cost to the taxpayer.”
Recent research by Fletchers has discovered that, left to fight the system on their own, injured people who otherwise get support from Fletchers lawyers would drain the UK of £42 million in lost economic output, meaning a net cost of over £100 million to public sector finances and £12 million lower household incomes.
She said that, considering a record 2.8 million people are out of work due to long-term sickness, the firm makes a major contribution to getting working people back to work, and reducing the national bill for health and disability benefits, which is due to hit £100bn by 2030.
Serious Injury Law’s early rehabilitation and support service is designed to go beyond legal representation, by offering a comprehensive range of medical, rehabilitation and emotional support services – all under one roof – to help clients and their families regain independence, confidence and productive members of society.
Supported by an in-house multidisciplinary team of case managers and clinical experts, the full ‘wraparound service’ will address the unique needs of each individual, and provide practical advice and guidance, alongside therapeutic and wellbeing support. This includes:
- Multidisciplinary team input to care and support
- A comprehensive care assessment and the creation of personalised recovery plans
- Identification of early rehabilitation pathways and services management
- Counselling and psychological support
- Support with adaptive technologies and equipment
- Resource and service navigation including complimentary lived experience peer support

Caroline adds: “Our clients face significant physical, emotional and financial hurdles after sustaining a life changing injury and we believe our role goes beyond legal representation.
