A notorious road where two men were killed in four months is set to have its speed limit slashed to 30mph.
Traffic bosses are being urged to impose a new speed limit on Hambledon Road, which runs from Waterlooville to Denmead.
It was the scene of an horrific accident on Saturday when a man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car.
Stephen Harbridge, 35, was near the junction with Closewood Road when his Yamaha Fazer motorcycle hit a blue Fiat Panda.
Mr Harbridge, of Stakes Hill Road, Waterlooville, was pronounced dead at the scene, almost exactly four months after 75 year-old cyclist, Norman Thurston died on the same stretch of road.
As part of a county-wide review of speed limits through villages, Hampshire Country Council may slash the limit from 60mph to 30mph.
Denmead Parish councillor, Richard Hallett, will be making recommendations to Hampshire County Council.
He said: 'Hambledon Road is certainly one of the roads that needs to be looked at.'
Ken Thornber, leader of Hampshire County Council, said: 'We said we wanted to see 30mph across our villages and have asked parishes to tell us where there are problems - because they are the ones who know.'
