Hayden Christensen joins spinal injury charity

Spinal injury charity the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation was joined by actor Hayden Christensen for a fundraising party in New York.

Hosted by the Reeve Foundation Champions Committee, the event at the Boom Boom Room also saw Allure magazine editor-in-chief Linda Wells.

The Champions Committee brings together people in the New York area who want to carry on the philanthropic mission of the foundation.

Reeve Foundation ambassador Francesco Clark said; "Even with the law on their side, people living with disabilities face enormous challenges to live independently, to find work, and to access the health care and other resources they need."

He added the foundation helps to fund cutting edge research to develop treatments for people with a spinal cord injury.

The foundation recently set a world record for the most wheelchairs in a moving line, in a charity event designed to raise awareness of spinal injuries and the effects they have on people's lives.
