A leading spinal injury is asking wheelchair-bound volunteers to help it break a world record.
The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation is calling on people to help it smash the Guinness World Record for the most wheelchairs in a moving line.
Commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the event is to take place this Sunday (July 25th) at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
The foundation was established by Christopher and Dana Reeve after the former Superman actor suffered a spinal injury when he fell off a horse.
Its mission is "dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research".
The foundation also aims to improve the quality of life for people who live with paralysis through "grants, information and advocacy".
According to a 2009 study by the foundation, there are nearly one in 50 people in the US who live with paralysis - around six million individuals.
Christopher Reeve died in 2004, followed just two years later by his wife Dana as a result of lung cancer.
