A sportswoman is gearing-up for her comeback after recovering from a spinal injury, it has been reported.
Stephanie Goodall, a 16-year-old volleyball player, has discussed her successful rehabilitation in an interview with the Daily Press and Argus.
The youngster encountered problems with her back from the age of 13 and needed fusion-surgery to fix her vertebrae, which involved extracting tissue from one of her hips.
However, Ms Goodall told the news provider she is now fighting fit and planning to train a volleyball squad at her school, which she hopes will give her the inspiration to take to the court herself.
"All of that motivates me to be a better player and a better person. I miss that a lot," she told the news source.
Ms Goodall is not the first recovering spinal injury sufferer to make the headlines in recent times.
Team Ride-On, a group of rehabilitated patients, recently raised $199,000 (£124,385) for the Kelly Brush Foundation on a sponsored cycle.
Modified equipment was used by the clan on their 100-mile trek.
