A spinal cord injury patient has improved her quality of life through using a piece of exercise equipment, it has been claimed.
Madonna Long, who is the editor of disability publication Chloe Magazine, has rehabilitated herself on the Flexiciser equipment.
After suffering paraplegia in a road accident, the journalist included the gear in her routine and has gone on to campaign for better rights for those with similar ailments.
Commenting, president of Flexiciser Bryan Mallindine said: "[Ms Long] has seen what a difference it has made in her life."
He was commenting following a recent awards ceremony, where the spinal cord injury sufferer attended to pick up an achievement gong.
The Dare to Change the World dinner and fashion show raised cash for the Three Rivers Centre for Independent Living, a facility that caters for those who have been struck down by serious illness.
