People across the country will be tucking into a fish and chip supper later this month as part of an effort to raise funds for the Spinal Injuries Assocation (SIA).
The Great British Fish and Chip Supper is being held on May 21st to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the iconic British meal.
People are encouraged to have fish and chips at home, at work or in the community and ask each guest to make a donation of £5.
The money raised from the suppers will help SIA offer support to individuals who become paralysed, and their families, by providing services that enable and encourage paralysed people to lead independent lives.
"Be a part of something special and make a real difference, helping spinal cord injured people gain access to the information and support they need," said the charity's donor development officer Elizabeth Wright.
In other fundraising news, former army major Phil Packer - who suffered serious spinal injuries in Iraq - has raised large amounts of money for 26 different spinal injury charities by completing this year's London Marathon, beating his previous record at the event by an incredible 13 days.
