Sheffield spinal injury unit praised by former patient

A person who recently benefited from the services of a Sheffield-based spinal injury unit has given praise to the facility's workforce.

Writing in a letter published by the Sheffield Telegraph, K Roberts has highlighted the good work being carried out by the Northern General Hospital's Spinal Injuries Unit.

The author, who is currently based in the North Wales region, outlines the top level of service provided by the unit.

"My dignity and independence were always respected and I was actively encouraged in the management of my care," the person wrote.

The Sheffield Telegraph also reports K Roberts, who claims to reside more than 150 miles away from the hospital, as saying that the city's unit proved to be a very clean facility.

As many as 6,000 people are presently employed by the Northern General Hospital, with the organisation's Spinal Injuries Unit said to offer state-of-the-art facilities.
