Motorcycle for wheelchair users made for Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation

A special motorcycle has been built for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, which raises funds for spinal injury research.

The chopper is custom-built for wheelchair users and was created in America by Paul Teutul Sr and Orange County Choppers.

Awareness for the foundation will be raised when the motorbike features on the TV show American Chopper on January 7th at 21:00 local time.

The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation is asking people to hold parties on the night of the viewing and to request those that attend to donate $25 (£15.50) to the foundation.

The person whose party brings in the most money will win a VIP behind-the-scenes tour of the Orange County Choppers headquarters.

Actor Christopher Reeve sustained a spinal cord injury and paralysis in 1995 and joined the American Paralysis Association, which has since changed its name to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.

The foundation funds research into spinal injury and helps those living with paralysis as a result of spinal injury.
