A farmer left paralysed by a spinal injury after a one-tonne bail of hay fell on him has overcome his injury and returned to work.
Robert Field, from Burnley, had to have one of his legs amputated from below the thigh but has paid to have his JCB Loadall adapted so that he can continue to work on his family farm, the Blackburn Citizen reports.
The 23-year-old was treated for his spinal injury at Southport and Formby Dustrict General Hospital.
Speaking to the newspaper, Mr Field said: "I found it very frustrating when I had to watch other people working and I couldn't do anything.
"I'm hoping to get another tractor adapted soon so I can do other jobs around the farm like muckspreading and mowing."
Earlier in the month, the Burnley Citizen reported that Mr Field had helped to raise £20,000 for spinal injury research and the North West Air Ambulance since his accident.
