Businessman with spinal injuries discusses path to success

Once plunged into a deep depression by a paralysing spine injury, one man has spoken candidly about his recovery and diversification into a new line of work.

Francesco Clark, writing for the Huffington Post, explained how his physical looks deteriorated after suffering a spinal injury in a diving accident, forcing him and his father to act and embark on his "next journey" - into the world of essential oils and botanical extracts.

Within months, the pair had formed Clark's Botanicals and were able to find ways to solve the skin problems Francesco had before moving on to become recognised by other outlets.

Mr Clark asserted that he is not bogged down by his disability and, if anything, it has enabled him to do much more with his life.

He concluded: "Having a disability has not stopped me from learning all aspects of the process: ingredient formulations, meeting with buyers for the big stores, working on new packaging, to training store staff and meeting with customers."

In order to raise money for those suffering from spinal injury, David Millar recently announced that he would be hand-cycling 250 miles across New Zealand, the Herald reported last month.
