Man run over by girlfriend suffers brain injury

A man has been left with brain injury and a fractured skull after his girlfriend ran over him twice in their car.

Kane Charles was run over by Erin Slingsby after trying to stop her from driving off in her car.

Ms Slingsby, from Doncaster, had stormed out of the house following an altercation in which she accused Mr Charles of cheating in a computer game.

After initially knocking Mr Charles down, Ms Slingsby turned her car around and drover over him again.

The victim could face up to ten years being rehabilitated for his injuries, which include bruising to the brain.

He suffers from poor concentration, mood swings, headaches, dizzy spells and memory loss.

Recent research published in the journal Stroke indicated that those who have suffered from traumatic brain injury are at a greater risk of suffering stroke than other people.
