A Norfolk man who suffered a permanent brain injury in a car accident has gone on to launch his own successful record label.
Dudley Garner, who was hit by a car in the centre of Norwich, sustained a fractured skull and eye socket, leaving him with a brain injury to his right frontal lobe, the Eastern Daily Press reports.
The injury has affected his short-term memory and numeracy skills, but in spite of this he has turned his record company, All Sorted?!? Records, into a career.
"All Sorted!?! Records has given me a purpose and direction, and more than anything it has given me something to work at and be proud of since the accident," he told the newspaper.
"It has helped me to deal with depression because of the sense of achievement it gives me."
Brain injury charity Headway recently announced its Hats for Headway Day on May 13th, inviting members of the public to wear a hat to show support for the charity and the people it works with.
