A Welsh woman has died after suffering serious brain injury when she fell down the stairs in her own home.
Brenda Davies had been heading to the spare room in her home to escape her husband's snoring, but stumbled down the stairs, resulting in serious head injuries including concussion and a fractured skull.
Speaking at an inquest into the death of the 59-year-old mother of two, husband Phillip Davies said: "'I was woken by Brenda getting out of bed. She told me she was going to sleep in the spare room because I was snoring.
"I heard her shout out and I heard her fall. I ran after her and saw her at the bottom of the stairs."
Mr Davies made the decision to switch his wife's life support machine off at hospital the day after the incident, due to the severity of her injuries.
The pair owned large collection of ponies that they kept at their remote Brecon Beacons property.
