A man with a stammer sustained a brain injury after a drunken row about his speech impediment turned violent, reports say.
Thomas Ferdinando and a friend were at a pub in Sevenoaks town centre in Kent when a man commented on his stammer, according to thisiskent.co.uk.
He was then set upon by a gang of men and one blow caused Mr Ferdinando to fall against a brick way, causing a bleed on his brain and a blood clot.
Oliver Lynch, 21, of London Road, admitted to actual bodily harm.
Mr Ferdinando told the Sevenoaks Chronicle: "The last thing I remember is someone squaring up to my mate, then I woke up halfway through a CAT scan.
"It was so scary. I didn't understand what was going on."
This comes after news from the Scotman that Marc Nicholson, 24, was left with brain injury after being attacked by teenagers after a night out.
