Man left with brain injury after assault by schoolboys

A man has been left with a brain injury after being attacked by teenagers, it has been reported.

Marc Nicholson, 24, was assaulted by schoolboys after a night out in May, causing him to be rushed to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, reports the Scotsman.

Rhys Cleaver, 16, and a 15-year-old had a run in with the police shortly before the attack, with officers putting Mr Cleaver in the back of their van in order to get him to calm down.

The youths shouted insults at Mr Nicholson and his girlfriend Sarah Jane Kay before Mr Cleaver reportedly punched Mr Nicholson, knocking him to the ground, before kicking him and stamping on his head.

This comes after an Ohio man suffered traumatic brain injury after being shot by a police stun gun, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

A police officer shot Matthew Hook with a taser while he attempted to climb a eight-foot fence, causing him to fall on his head.
