A cyclist who suffered a severe traumatic brain injury is set to host a free presentation explaining his recovery to an audience in the US.
Jerry Christensen's Recovery Is Now presentation will be taking place at the University of Nebraska yesterday (September 1st), in the Sisler Room.
Sporting the self-imposed moniker of "The Brain Guy", Mr Christensen's story is groundbreaking because he was told that he would never recover from his traumatic accident at the age of 15, but has since proved experts wrong.
Jerry now regularly speaks about his accident and recovery from his brain injury, as well as maintaining his own website and blog.
He is also a keen supporter of the Brain Shift Foundation, which is set up as an educational resource to raise awareness and empowering individuals and organisations to transform their lives and communities through learning.
Mr Christensen's Recovery Is Now tour promotes the Recovery Meditation Method and raises funds for further research into brain injury rehabilitation.
