School fundraises for brain injury charity

A school in Wales has held events aimed at raising money for a leading brain injury charity, it has been reported.

Children from Llanedeyrn Primary School in Cardiff held a buffet breakfast and art event for Headway, which supports people who have suffered from the likes of a traumatic brain injury, Wales Online reports.

Lisa Lambly from the charity said the money raised in this instance would be targeted at acquired brain injury patients in the south-east of Wales.

"It's brilliant that Llanedeyrn Primary have chosen to help us and it raises awareness of brain injury to children," she told the news provider.

There are a number of ways that people can raise money to help people with brain injuries in the UK with the help of Headway.

Information on how to run your own event, take on a gruelling trek, cycle ride, parachute jump or marathon can be found on the charity's website.
