Traumatic brain injuries rehab on the agenda at medical meeting

Methods of rehabilitation for traumatic brain injuries are set to be on the agenda at an upcoming medical summit.

The American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants' San Diego chapter is to meet next month to discuss how a range of head ailments can be assessed and treated.

Michael Lobatz will be a key speaker at the November 16th event and is expected to draw on his experience as a chief of staff at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

He will present an overview of brain injury programmes, while also bringing cognitive disorders, Parkinson's disease and spinal cord injuries into the debate.

Treatments for traumatic brain injures are also set to be discussed at the World Congress Conference in Jacksonville, Florida between November 19th and 20th.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy will be a focus of one of the meetings at the event, with US marines General James T Conway giving a keynote address.
