Tea dance to raise money for brain injury association

A tea dance is being held in a town hall in Oxfordshire to raise money for Headway Thames Valley, a brain injury association.

Those that attend the event at Henley town hall on Saturday (November 14th) will be able to dance to music by the Roy Bailey Band, buy homemade cakes and English tea and take part in a raffle, the Henley Standard reported.

Speaking to the newspaper Angie Best, patron of the brain injury charity, said: "I am really looking forward to a fun-filled afternoon with lots of dancing, all in aid of this fantastic charity."

Headway Thames Valley is part of Headway - the brain injury association, established in 1979 and is one of over 100 groups throughout the UK.

It provides help and rehabilitation to people with a brain injury and support and information to their families, friends and carers involved in their treatment.

According to Headway Thames Valley, 49 per cent of all acquired brain injuries are as a result of car accidents.
