Research firm "honoured" to help brain injury patients

Supporting brain injury sufferers is an "honour", according to a firm that has been awarded a contract to aid an organisation that gets patients back on their feet.

The National Intrepid Centre of Excellence (NICoE) has sought the services of Dynamic Research Corporation (DRC), a company that will offer programme management skills as part of the deal.

NICoE is focused on helping people with head traumas who have served in the armed forces and provides rehabilitation and training to the wounded.

Commenting, DRC chairman and chief executive officer Jim Regan said: "We are committed to bringing forth our proven … expertise and knowledge gained in supporting the Defence Centres of Excellence."

Another facility that aims to help get soldiers back on their feet is RAND, the Centre for Military Health Policy Research.

It holds summits for patients and their loved ones, where support and guidance is offered through discussion groups.
