Regulars of a pub in Surrey have raised over £800 for a charity that helps in the rehabilitation of children with acquired brain injury.
Various fundraising activities were arranged by Colin and Pauline Batt, the landlords of the Old Oak pub in Meadvale, the Redhill, Reigate and Horley Life reported.
One of the activities that regulars took part in was a Scalextric racing car event. Overall the fundraising efforts raised £825 for the Children's Trust.
Speaking to the newspaper, Angie Turner, corporate fundraising manager at the Children's Trust, said: "Since 2005, the Old Oak has raised an amazing £9,000, which is a fantastic achievement."
"The money will help to enhance the lives of the children at the trust," she added.
At the beginning of December, the newspaper reported that a cabaret night held in Reigate at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School raised £1,600 for charity, a share of which is to go to the Children's Trust.
