Children with acquired brain injury are to benefit from money raised at a recent cabaret night in Surrey.
The cabaret night, which was held in Reigate at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School, raised £1,600, Reigate Life reported.
Money is to be split between the school's Charitable Foundation and The Children's Trust, a national charity which provides help to children with complex health problems, including rehabilitation services for children with acquired brain injuries, according to the newspaper.
Speaking to the newspaper, Allegra Scott, community fundraising manager at The Children's Trust, said: "An audience of 140 people enjoyed a wonderful evening of songs with stunning performances by the students, who received a rapturous applause at the end of the show."
The Children's Trust started the UK's first ever national rehabilitation service for children with an acquired brain injury in 1985. It now operates the UK's largest paediatric brain injury rehabilitation centre in Tadworth.
