Money pledged to help service people with brain injuries

A company has promised to donate some of its profits to an organisation that helps harmed service people – some of whom suffer from traumatic brain injuries.

Green Bridge Industries are going to donate the proceeds they make at a county fair from one of its stain remover pens to the Wounded Warrior Project.

The money will be used to support a range of programmes intended to help members of the armed forces who may have had to retire due to brain injuries, severe burns or amputations.

Executive director of the organisation Steve Nardizzi thanked Green Bridge Industries on behalf of the thousands of wounded soldiers.

"Their commitment is helping ensure the tremendous personal sacrifices these men and women make for our country are not forgotten," he said.

Wounded Warrior Project is a not-for-profit group, which was created when a number of veterans were moved by stories about service men and women who had been harmed in Afghanistan and Iraq.
