A radio station that broadcasts a show presented by brain injury victims is asking for financial help to prevent it from going off the airways at midnight tonight.
The Cambridge radio station, 209radio, has been broadcasting for two years and includes a show called Headliners, which is produced and presented by members of Headway Cambridgeshire, a brain injury charity.
Headway aims to rehabilitate people who have acquired a traumatic brain injury and to raise awareness of the effects that these injuries have on victims' lives and those of their families.
Speaking to Cambridge News, Andrew Gardener, chief executive of Headway, said: "I've seen the group grow in confidence, skills, and be able to live independent lives once more.
"If we didn't have 209radio it would be a tragic loss for a group of people who are already disadvantaged through no fault of their own."
209radio is aiming to raise £28,000 to cover three more months of operations and other costs.
It is seeking 20 organisations and 20 individual new members to pledge £700 each to secure the total sum.
