An event aimed at boosting the coffers of a charity which helps those with brain injuries has been hailed as a "huge triumph".
Some £12,675 was raised for Sue Ryder Care at a bash in Manchester recently, which involved around 150 females trekking ten kilometres across a shopping mall.
Participants followed a trail around the Trafford Centre, during which there was a "party atmosphere", according to the body.
Commenting, event organiser Emma Siddle said: "I am delighted so many women decided to take part and support the work carried out by the charity, and would like to thank all the walkers, volunteers, sponsors and staff."
The non-profit group offers support to those who have suffered head traumas, along with conditions such as Parkinson's and Huntingdon's disease.
Among its services are hospices and in-home care for patients with long-term illnesses.
It also has a research deal in place with the University of Nottingham to help discover new approaches to dealing with the ailments.
