Brain injury charity Headway is calling on people who are interested in cycling to help them raise funds and awareness for brain injuries with a series of sponsored cycle rides.
The charity, which aims to promote awareness about the effects of brain injuries and provide support to sufferers and their carers, has a full programme of events this summer to support its cause.
A bike ride from London to Paris is in full swing, with two more planned for July and September. The four-day tour can be linked to a further five-day ride going on to Geneva.
Meanwhile, in the UK there is a 50-mile bike ride from Richmond to Windsor on June 20th and this November the charity has a two-week cycling tour of Vietnam.
Fundraisers for the British Institute For Brain Injured Children (BIBIC) cycled over 970 miles from John O' Groats to Lands End recently.
They raised around £2,700 for the charity which offers support to families who care for children with traumatic and acquired brain injuries.
