Members of the Sheffield Wednesday first team squad have visited a boy suffering from a brain injury in hospital.
Along with the Owls players, caretaker manager Sean McAuley and chairman Lee Strafford visited children on the wards of The Children's Hospital in Sheffield and gave out presents, Look Local reports.
Owls fan Daniel Stafford, who is being treated on the Neurosciences Ward, suffered a brain injury when he was hit by a car in Tideswell, Derbyshire six weeks ago.
Luke Varney, Lee Grant, and Darren Purse were among the players who visited the 13-year-old Daniel.
Speaking to the newspaper, Daniel said: "I think it's great that the footballers give up their time to come and visit us in the hospital, just seeing them really brightened up my day."
In February the football club announced that they would donate their shirt sponsorship to the hospital for the next two seasons. The kit bears the hospital's name and the Children's Hospital Charity logo on the shirt and shorts.
According to the newspaper, more than £50,000 has been raised so far.
