Homeopathy Treatment for Cerebral Palsy: Ideal Candidates

Cerebral palsy is a condition that affects both the mind and body of a child. The brain is affected in such a way that it cannot tell the body to perform certain things. Movement in particular is affected in children with cerebral palsy. Depending on the severity of the condition, I.Q. and motor movement varies in degree.

Not all children are ideal candidates for homeopathy treatment for cerebral palsy. In some cases homeopathy treatment for cerebral palsy can be very helpful and can produce wonderful results, in other cases it may not be very helpful.

Improvements

Homeopathy treatment for cerebral palsy can result in an improvement of motor control and speech. Children may be better at speaking and you will be able to understand your child better. Your child will also show improvements in sitting, swallowing and neck holding.

These are all improvements you want to see in your child and homeopathy treatment for cerebral palsy can be used alongside conventional medicine. There is no need to stop any rehabilitation you are currently undergoing to start homeopathy treatment for cerebral palsy.

Another benefit of starting this treatment is the possibility of improving the child's immune system. Children with cerebral palsy often come down with colds, coughs and other infections. Another improvement is the ability to consume food better, which also helps to build immunity.

When to Start

Homeopathy treatment for cerebral palsy is best started as soon as possible. The earlier the age of the child the better the chance of improvements in speech and motor control. The I.Q. of the child is also important, the more severe the brain damage the less chances that this treatment will succeed and show results.

If the child is under three years old and is already bed ridden then chances of improving the condition are limited. Ideal candidates have an ability to hold their heads at about the age of four or five. An inability to do this at that age is not a good indication of a positive outcome. Daily fits are also not a good sign for a child about to start homeopathy treatment for cerebral palsy.

Discuss with your doctor what exactly would be involved and your child's suitability. It will take time and patience. Although this treatment has proven to show good results it is not a miracle cure and you cannot expect other people's success stories to repeat with your child.
