Fatal accident case study 3

Mr Renshaw

We were contacted by the husband of a woman who had been knocked from her bicycle on the way to work. She was turning left from a main road when a car struck her from behind. She was rushed to hospital, but later passed away as a result of the head injuries that she had suffered.

With two dependent children, the husband had immediate concerns that he needed answers to at this extremely difficult time for him and his family.

We worked on his behalf to immediately establish all of the facts surrounding the accident. This included an analysis of the traffic and weather conditions at the time, to allow us to ascertain the reasons that the motorist struck his wife. Our detailed case was built quickly as a result of the large range of specialists who work on our client’s behalf.

We secured immediate funding to allow the family to remain in the home that they had moved into only six months earlier.

We attended the coroner’s inquest and were successful in our case. The funding we secured ensured that the children’s needs could be met up until the ages of 18, and the family could remain in their home.

All of our work was completed at no cost whatsoever to our client.
