Cerebral Palsy case study 3

Client name protected for privacy

Our client contacted us as the solicitors acting in her case at the time had made no progress whatsoever over the previous eighteen months.

Her son suffered from Spastic Hemiplegia as a result of complications during birth.

Our specialist legal team sourced all medical records and began to work through a timeline of the factors during the labour that had caused the complications.

Once this timeline was established, we gained records of all medical staff in attendance, their level of responsibility and qualification.

As a result of our detailed investigation we proved that the slow actions of a consultant had caused a series of events which led to the child being born with Cerebral Palsy.

We secured a substantial financial award in order to allow the family to be provided with suitable housing. We also implemented a care regime to assist the family in looking after their son.

All of the work we completed, and solutions we delivered, were done so at no cost to the family.
