We are Serious Law LLP. We work exclusively with clients who have serious and catastrophic injuries. Over the last 29 years, we have dealt with some of the UK’s largest and most complex serious injury cases, achieving numerous multi-million pound settlements for our clients.
Serious Law is recommended by the Legal 500 – "The team is 'a shining example of how difficult cases ought to be managed', and we are the firm of choice for many other legal professionals who recognise our depth of expertise in catastrophic cases. We are proud of our reputation for excellence, integrity and commitment to achieving the very best outcome for our clients. We are dedicated to helping people rebuild their lives.
We are a Lexcel accredited firm – "People take pride in the quality of service provided to clients, going the extra mile for clients and knowing the difference their work will make to client lives", and a Silver Investor in People – "Partners manage in the modern and approachable style, and people appreciate the flexibility with which they are managed."

We have a number of opportunities for experienced Catastrophic Injury Lawyers who have handled a significant number of complex cases, as a lead lawyer, with values in excess of £1 million. The candidates must be able to exhibit extensive knowledge of catastrophic brain and spinal injuries, for both adults and children. We welcome applications from those lawyers who are ready to step up to take on the role.
We have several opportunities for lawyers who are ready to be trained to handle a significant number of complex cases, as a lead lawyer, or as a team member, on the Multi Track and in the catastrophic injury area. The candidates must be able to exhibit experience in actioning litigated cases.
Sound experience in personal injury litigation and case handling are a prerequisite. These positions will suit those looking to make the step up to more complex work, at a first-class firm.
We need lawyers with an in depth knowledge of the effects of ABI’s, who can show a caring, patient and client focussed approach to handling the varying needs of our deputyship clients. These roles will suit those who have been appointed as a professional deputy or can prove that they are ready to be appointed.
We are re-opening our Graduate Training Programme. Over the years, this has been a highly successful programme for both the firm and its trainees. It has produced many solicitors and a number of them have progressed so far as to be made up to Partner.
We are looking for bright and engaging people, who we feel can fit into our teams, share our ethos and who we can train to our exacting standards. A law degree is not essential.
