Hillary Clinton says the government should do more to fight breast cancer.
She's calling for a 300 million dollar boost in annual breast-cancer research, with an emphasis on treatment and pinning down possible genetic and environmental causes.
Clinton takes her presidential campaign to the Ellen DeGeneres TV show today.
In her taped appearance, Clinton says as president, she would set a goal of finding a cure for the disease within 10 years.
Her plan would seek to make it easier for poor women to get screenings. And it would also look into whether race has been a factor in who gets help.
About 40,000 women died of breast cancer in the U.S. last year.
Nearly a quarter million new cases are likely to be diagnosed this year.
