Assistive technology for serious injury clients

Cutting-edge technology

Providing independence to those affected by serious injury in their homes via cutting edge technology tailored to each individual situation is key to re-establishing our clients independence. Our experts assess our clients' needs, and voice recognition or gaze direction tracking solutions are implemented, which allow our clients to control all elements of their home environment.

Bespoke access devices

The technologies are controlled via computer systems that are installed throughout our client’s homes. In the vast majority of cases, those affected by spinal injury are unable to use a standard keyboard. As a result we utilise a wide range of access devices, such as gaze direction tracking, bespoke control keys, customised joysticks, hand positioning sensors, touch-screens, speech recognition and command recognition software. Our initial assessment identifies the access device that best fits our client’s needs to ensure ease of operation.

It is our in depth knowledge of this area coupled with the implementation of this cutting-edge technology that provides the key to re-establish long-term independence.
