Joining Serious Injury Law in 2019 Claire has been a qualified Solicitor since 2010 but practising in personal injury for over 20 years.

Accidents

Claire has developed a special interest in serious and catastrophic injuries such as brain injuries and poly-trauma arising from all types of accident including road traffic accident, accidents at work, tripping and highways accidents. Claire currently acts for several children who have suffered traumatic brain injuries at a very young age supporting both them and the family as the cases progress.

Claire has a strong focus on rehabilitation and support for the client and their family whilst ensuring the best possible outcome from the claim.

Clinical negligence

Claire also has an interest in clinical negligence claims currently acting for claim’s involving birthing injuries to both the mother and child, failure to diagnose brain injuries in children and failures to diagnose and treat fractures appropriately which have led to permanent injuries.

Claire has experience attending inquests for the families of client’s recently obtaining a narrative conclusion from the Coroner which led to a swift admission of liability.

Interests

Claire is a member of APIL and a committee member/treasurer for Headway Wigan & Leigh providing invaluable support to individuals and families of those who have sustained a traumatic brain injury . This has provided a unique insight into the very real difficulties faced by those who have suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Away from the office Claire coaches and plays netball for adults and has a keen interest in rugby, baking and reading.

LM – Road traffic accident with uninsured motorist

We were instructed following a serious road traffic accident in which LM was a passenger in a car that was involved in a collision with another vehicle being driven by an uninsured driver.
